What the Arising Moment is to Me
The arising moment is a breeze that all of a sudden finds you on a hot day…
or when you’re thinking about someone and they call you.
It’s connecting to that innate energy that everyone has and just flowing with it, and in that moment all things invite clarity.
Many years ago I used to own an American Indian jewelry shop, and for years people from all over the world would seek me out for counsel. At the time it didn’t seem that unusual, since I had been around Native Elders who had this happen all the time. People would come to them with questions about life, relationships, business — you name it, it was asked.
Like I said, it didn’t seem unusual until someone who was very close to me stopped and said to me, “Do you know what you just did to that person? You changed their life.”
That was when I began to question the gift of living in the arising moment. From that moment on I would no longer accept my training and ability to help others, and for years would not even consider speaking or writing about what was happening or manifesting in the moment of now.
You May Be Wondering What Happened…
For one thing, I had lost my confidence and faith in myself, so I no longer chose to be in service to others. The letters came, the phone calls came, the people came — and all were turned away…
Until I crossed the path of another visionary who encouraged me to step back into what my heart so longed to express again — and that was to teach and speak the stories and lessons of my ancestors.
Now I see within my heart the delicate balance that the heart walks in its’ ability to have clarity and conviction to do what is right, to do what it is meant to do.
Life has a way of bringing choices and paths to your attention time and time again — and if this is happening to you I hope you are stopping long enough to answer this question: “Did you do what you came here to do?”
If the answer is “YES!” then there is no need to read any further, but if you’re not certain then I might have some answers for you.
First let me say you are not alone.
My Native elders have said that the majority of human beings may have their eyes open but are asleep. What they meant was people are not clear on what their path or purpose really is.
So where do you begin?
…you have already started. With what is called “the look within,” this is the place where vision, clarity, purpose and great peace reside. This is also the place where your power begins, which brings us to the reason why it’s important to awaken you to what your inner heart is saying and what it’s saying is…”Be in the arising moment and fulfill the path that was impressed upon you at birth.”
In other words, if you do not have laughter, love, excitement, energy, respect in your life (not just once in awhile but every day), then you are not in alignment with the life you were destined to be living.

Are You Ready to LIVE in the Arising Moment?
Dear Chief Robert, Thank you for sharing your wisdom, that goes hand in hand with humility. It touched my heart deeply, as I recognised my own story. And now I am at the threshold of stepping out into the world again with my gifts and talents.
And your music is soooo lovely to support this.
Megwetch!
Lovely Helena,
Your Heart and love for life is what will change…The World.
You are welcome.

Thank you for this. A very timely reminder and affirmation. I too have kept silent. Now I am beginning to respond again. And I loved the flute, too. Something about the tree-energy of a wooden flute.
Denise Sunday
Denise,
The way my Elders used to refer to the Flute was” With the Life force of the breath, we awaken it’s medicine”.
Many Blessings
