The Elders tell of a tribe, long ago, whose people were starving. Famine had come upon their land and there was no food, little water. They had no means to feed themselves, and were waiting for death to begin their long journey back to the Creator.
Others came to know of the tribe and its conditions, and they gathered a buffalo robe full of seed from their harvest, for their land was bountiful in its gifts that year.
The seed arrived, and in their hunger, the starving people ate it.
And when the seed had been consumed, once again they waited for the distant Spring, and the hope of more food, for they had none. No one told them to save some of the seed to plant their own crop, so that they could once again reap their own harvest and feed themselves.
The Ancient Ones knew that it is very easy to consume all the seed … all the ‘things’ that society offers us these days. It is easy to keep consuming all those external ‘things’ while an emptiness remains in the heart … while the Spirit searches for that inner nourishment in a time of famine.
When you begin to save some of the seed of your gifts … to use that seed to plant, and to nurture the growth of new opportunities, you are nearest to the Great Spirit! Then … when you become the planter … you are following the true bent of your nature.
Consider this week’s quote:
In your decision … in your conscious choice … to become purpose-filled, to respond to others in different ways, you nurture both yourself and those you touch.
In your choice to pay attention to your Three Arrows of Power™ … to the Thoughts you think; to the Words you speak; and to the Actions you take … you plant seeds that will grow into Divine abundance. As you become the planter, all around you is given the opportunity to change.
In these steps you take, you flow into your full potential … your Truth. Who you are in this world; how you serve.
As you step forward in that light, taking up that challenge and embracing that opportunity, you become theBe-ing you were truly meant to be!
In your courage, the Spirit guides you … Though you are but one person, you SHINE bright as a star!
