Remember 9/11: How Can Writing Poems about Family Unity Strengthen Relationships?

Have you ever considered creating your own poems about family unity with your family?

Your family’s thoughts, words and emotions mean so much more to your family than those of someone else.

The world is rapidly approaching an event that has not only touched every heart and every life in America, but many hearts and lives worldwide.

Early on the morning of September 11, 2001, the Twin Towers in New York City were attacked. They fell, taking thousands of lives. Other attacks also darkened that day.

I vividly remember the way people came together after those horrific events. America and the world pulled in a little closer, loved their families more, and looked for a deeper sense of community after the events of 9/11.

Indeed, for a while at least, people became more sensitive to what is truly important in life, namely their relationships with their family, friends, and their community.

As the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks approach, you may be looking for ways to talk about this event with your family, especially children who were young or yet unborn.

There are many kinds of families other than blood relatives. Your family might be a church community or group of friends. How you define “family” is entirely up to you.

Finding ways to pull your family a little closer together promotes peace. Because where there is family unity, there can be community unity and world peace.

Certainly, you can look for poems about family unity on the web, but why not create them yourself? You do not have to be a “poet” or a “writer” in order to create poems about anything that touches your heart.

No matter how you define family, or who makes up your family, each member has memories, emotions, and dreams.

So instead of looking for someone else’s words, why not co-create your own poems?

Here’s how you and your family can co-create your very own poems about family unity…

This activity is not about following rigid poetic structure.

You don’t have to write a sonnet, villanelle or any other structured poem.

It is not important for the lines to rhyme, it is not important for the lines to follow a specific poetic meter.

There are no rules, however, a recipe or template can help. These steps may help spark your creativity.

1. Choose a theme for your poem. Make it something simple and open, to encourage each family member’s creativity. Some ideas for 9/11 memorials are:

“We remember 9/11.”

“Messages for the next 7 generations.”

“My commitment to my family.”

Once you agree on a theme, it’s time for each family member to contribute to the family unity poem.

2. Have each person in your family write a line or stanza (which simply means a “set” of lines) for the poems about family unity that you create together.

3. Come together as a family and assemble the poem in whatever way makes sense.

You may wish to combine creating poems about family unity with a meaningful ritual, such as lighting a candle, saying a prayer, and/or sharing a meal.

Do what feels right for your family.

When you come together in love, whatever you do is right!

Can Positive Affirmations Help Calm Anxiety?  
 
positive affirmationsAnxiety comes from the mind.  When your mind gets busy thinking unsupportive thoughts and taking you down a negative path, it then spreads into your emotions. 

Since it all begins in your mind, anything you can do to manage your mind will help to calm anxiety.  
 
A great place to start is to notice when your thoughts are negative.  At first this can feel like a monumental task. 

Give yourself permission to become aware of them, to not judge them or react to them, just to simply notice them.  This is a powerful first step. 

The next step is to replace your negative thoughts with positive and empowering ones.  A great way to do this is with positive affirmations!
 
Now how can you create your positive affirmations?
 
Write down what your negative thoughts are and how you talk to yourself negatively.  Then think about what the polar opposites would be.  For example, if what you have ruminating in your mind is, “I can’t do this”, a great positive affirmation would be, “I CAN do this.”  Another one might be, “I can accomplish anything I set my mind to.”

Take your negative thoughts and treat them like a coin.  Flip the coin to the other side.  If you’re saying to yourself, “I’m constantly struggling”, what the opposite of this statement might be is, “I’m doing great!”  If you keep thinking over and over again, “I’m just one big ball of stress,” then the positive affirmation from that might be, “I am at peace with myself and the universe,” or, “I am relaxed and calm and all is well.”  
 
This is a great way to do something positive and constructive with all that negative thinking that you put yourself through.  
 
A practice to add to your positive affirmations is to give yourself dedicated and conscious worry time.
 
Sometimes it’s really tough to get out of the habit of worrying, because it’s so undefined inside your head, so you get stuck in it and can’t move beyond.  A simple way out of it is to choose a short period of time, maximum 30 minutes, and dedicate it as your conscious worry time, meaning that you’re worrying with a conscious intention.
 
Ideally dedicate the same time each day, which is an effective way to create a new habit, and ideally schedule it nowhere near bedtime so that you don’t keep yourself up worrying, or just as undermining, carry your worry into your sleep.
 
Have a pad and pen that’s specifically for this purpose – let’s call it your worry pad and pen.  Now literally throw down on paper everything you’re anxious and worrying about.  No editing, no organizing, just throw it down.   
 
At the end of the 30 minutes, put it aside, take a few deep breaths, and let it all go until the next day when you will have your dedicated worry time to repeat the process. This is an incredibly simple yet powerful way to get everything you’re worrying about out of your head and place it somewhere outside of yourself.  This is amazingly freeing and effective.  Watch what happens when you do it!
 
And these worries that you write down are a great source of ideas for your affirmations.  Just use the ‘flipping the coin’ technique to find the language for them.
 
Repetition is the name of the game.  So create a daily practice for yourself and say your positive affirmations out loud every morning and every evening, again preferably at the same time.  

Can positive affirmations help calm anxiety?  
 
What will also help relieve your anxiety is believing that your affirmations are true!  Believing that not only will they work, but also that they are working right now, even if you can’t yet see the proof.  You will accelerate the power and effectiveness of your positive affirmations by believing in them.   
 
So, as you notice anxiety creeping in, follow these easy steps:

  • Notice, without judgment, that you’re having negative thoughts.
  • Think of what the opposite of your negative thought would be-flip the coin-and create a positive affirmation.
  • Give yourself dedicated worry time.
  • Empty your mind and write down everything you’re worrying about.
  • Say your affirmations every day, upon waking and before sleep.
  • Believe that your affirmations are true and working right now!

When you end and begin your day with positive affirmations and think about ideal outcomes, you will create the space for your mind to create solutions which would otherwise be impossible when you’re stuck knee deep in worry.

If you have ever trained a puppy, you know that they go through a couple of troubling seasons called “fear imprint stages.” When the fear stage comes on, things that never bothered the dog as of yesterday suddenly are a source of terror. As a dog owner and handler, you simply have to get them through it.

InspirationalThoughts graphic for Inspirational Stories about unwavering beliefBut imagine being me, and at the other end of the leash is the puppy who will become your guide dog – if she makes it. There is much more at stake than a typical pet being afraid of something you can control. As a renter, I was allowed to have a service dog in training, under the law, however if she “dropped out” by failing to do her job well, I could not keep her.

We had spent every waking and sleeping moment together since I took the wriggling 9-week-old pup from her mother’s side. She simply HAD to excel. Period. No other option. And in particular, she needed to be able to go on public transportation with me as I went through my day of working and running errands.

We had our challenges right from the start, because from our first car ride together, she got carsick. I kept believing she would grow out of it. When we first boarded a city bus together, she made a 3-foot drool puddle on the floor, which was thankfully already wet from snowy boots. “I believe in you,” I told her. She could outgrow that too, once we had taken a few rides.

One spring day, I was at a bus stop with baby Thunder. She had finally gotten over getting carsick every time we were in a car and drooling on every bus. Having conquered these tendencies, I felt we had accomplished a lot. She had become a champion rider who boarded any vehicle with wagging tail.

Except on that fateful day, it all fell apart.

Thinking that today was just like any other day, Thunder and I went to the bus stop. The bus rolled up, and my champion puppy – my future guide dog – turned into a simpering coward. She cowered underneath the bus bench, trembling violently. I literally had to drag her out by her guide-dog-in-training vest and force her to go up the steps.

One of the other passengers made a snide comment about what a great guide dog she was going to be if I had to guide her onto a bus. “She’s in training,” I said. “I’m sure you don’t do everything right the first few times either.”

That was a critical moment for her and for me. I realized she was in a fear stage, and it was up to ME to get her through it properly. Emotions of the handler transmit through the leash to the dog. If you’re anxious, the dog will feel it. If you’re upset, the dog will know. If you don’t believe in the dog, she will not believe in herself.

What would your natural thoughts be at a moment such as this? Remember, I had raised and trained the dog for several months at this point, and she was well on her way to becoming my guide dog. As my guide dog, she would help me get around obstacles, find doorways, and stay out of danger as we traveled together. If she failed, I could not keep her. Perhaps you would be running “brain TV” scenarios about the dog failing and you having to give her up after months of bonding and training. Maybe you would have doubts about your dog every time you approached a bus stop.

I needed to have unwavering faith in my dog’s ability to overcome her fear. I could not entertain even a moment of doubt in her, and I could not hide behind a venire of pretended faith either. She had to feel my confidence through the leash. She had to believe with every fiber of her being that all was well.

What did I do? I spent time each day visioning the two of competently and confidently traveling on buses, planes, cars, trains, moving sidewalks, and even escalators. I affirmed to Thunder that she is a confident and competent guide who keeps me safe.

It took her a couple of weeks to get past her newfound fear of buses. I kept my faith strong and told her everyday how much I believe in her. Thunder did indeed get past her fear. She learned how to guide me safely past obstacles, how to find bus stops, doors and mailboxes, and how to keep me safe when we traveled.

Thunder became the champion guide dog I knew she was. All I had to do was believe.

relationship problemsDiane was an emotional wreck.  Things were strained with her husband, Jeff.  He was impatient and critical almost all the time.  At his best, Jeff was aloof and barely communicated, and at his worst he was short tempered and borderline aggressive.  To say the least, things were not going well.

Diane could not figure out where their relationship had gone wrong.  She looked inward to see if perhaps it was something that she had caused, but could not find an event or a moment that she could connect with being the cause of all this.

The less Diane felt loved by Jeff, the more she turned to food to numb all the emotions that she felt, and the worse her food choices were getting.  It was no wonder that over the last six months she had put on quite a bit of weight.

So Diane was now beating herself up.  The worse she felt about herself, the more hopeless she was.  She was in a downward spiral that she could not get out of.  She now found herself eating no matter how she felt, whether she felt good or bad about Jeff, herself, or any and all of it.  She was miserable, which added even more tension to their relationship problems.

They had just gone through a week of virtually no communication.  They knew this could not continue for much longer.  Without realizing it, one evening she was like a prickly hedgehog, griping at every little thing.  Jeff got more and more frustrated until he suddenly erupted and coughed up what was bothering him.  He was no longer attracted to her with all the extra weight that she was carrying around.

Jeff had hesitated to say anything about Diane’s weight before because he had no idea how to say it without causing either a world war or a complete rupture in their marriage.  This frustration, combined with his upset about her weight and his anger at how things were going in their relationship had him be much more aggressive than he had planned to be.  So of course, his communication did not go well.

Diane’s feelings were deeply hurt, and she let him know that she needed some time away from him to think through this and figure out what she wanted to do.

She processed all her feelings about what Jeff said.  She could not believe he could be so shallow that he was only focusing on her physical body and not love her for the totality of who she was.

As she continued to process it all, she started to take a good look at what he had communicated to her, however clumsily.

Diane sensed with every fiber of her being that they were at an important crossroads in their relationship.  She knew that if she didn’t pay attention here and do something about it, she would run the risk of actually losing her husband, who, despite everything, she still loved with all her heart.

So the next day, Diane asked Jeff if he was willing to talk things through with her, and he readily agreed.  She suggested that they create a plan together to help her lose weight.

Diane was surprised when Jeff heaved a huge sigh of relief.  But at the same time, he wondered why she wanted his help.  As is common in the difference between the sexes, Diane’s preference was to do something about getting back in shape with her husband, and his idea was that she take care of it herself.

Whilst he had not thought that Diane’s getting in shape would involve him, he quickly got the picture that she clearly wanted his support.  Thankfully he was a smart man, and he agreed.

It made all the difference in the world to her.  Diane and Jeff created their meal plan and exercise routine together, and then stayed on track with each other’s support.

Diane started to feel better than she had in years.  They were both taking better care of themselves and the weight was falling off them as they kept to their new routine.  Everything was going much better between them.  They suddenly had all this energy and were having fun together again.  They were getting back to being close and snuggly, just like they used to be.

How are relationship problems actually blessings in disguise?

  • They open your eyes to issues that need to be dealt with.
  • They give you and your partner the opportunity to hear each other and support each other.
  • They give you and your partner the opportunity to step up to solve them together.
  • They give you and your partner the opportunity to learn and grow together.
  • They give you and your partner the opportunity to love your partner in ways that they need to be loved.

As is true so often in life, what can come out of your biggest challenges in relationship problems and otherwise are huge blessings.  They are blessings in disguise while they are still lurking as problems.  The moment that you understand the opportunity that they are creating in your life, that is when you will truly get what blessings they are!

Sarah slammed the book shut.  She had had enough; she was gritting her teeth she was so mad.

Here we go AGAIN… It was a book on pain and all it told her was do this, do that and do, do, do more.

All Sarah could think was: ” I don’t want to hear anything else about what to do.

I don’t want to be told what to do!

I don’t want to be guided through what to do.

I don’t want to do anything more at all!

I have fibromyalgia and I’m in a lot of pain.”

She thought to herself, ” They should just tell you to get horizontal.

Get horizontal!”  As in, ” Lie down!”

Sarah was so exhausted she didn’t want to hear anything except how she could rest.

The pain was so intense it was hard for her to even relax enough to sleep.

But that’s what she needed most; that was all she needed.

She just didn’t know how she was to get that sleep.

As it turned out, she spoke with the author of that book on pain and told her what she thought.  As the book was being edited for a new version, Sarah actually ended up giving her  input for it, and changes were made to address her concerns and frustrations.

It was clear to Sarah, to the author, and to everyone who she talked with that what she deeply needed was a better way to rest –

to get deeper, more restorative rest.

Difficulty getting meaningful rest and quality sleep certainly is a primary challenge for people with fibromyalgia symptoms.

So, how do you rest?

How do you get your best rest, especially if you’re dealing with pain?

This is THE big question – the most important thing to address.  This is the primary reason it’s critical to find some relief from the pain.

The biggest reason for pharmaceutical intervention, the drug therapies, is to be able to relieve the pain enough so that other more natural treatments, lifestyle modifications and balances can take place and be effective.

As a result of that pain relief, you can then have your attention present.

The pain relief is enough to allow you to do the other things necessary to relieve stress, release tension, avoid burnout and overwhelm, and to get things done efficiently.  You must be able to work without falling apart from fatigue, exhaustion and depression.

Sarah needed all of that that, a way to deeply rest.  Every one of us needs that!

Sleep is a primary need.

It is for everyone, but even more so if you are in great pain.  Getting really replenishing sleep, which is needed to repair, rebuild and recharge the body, is one of the great challenges of dealing with intense or chronic pain.  Treatment for pain has to be able to allow for the sleep irregularity that results from that pain.  One of the primary factors involved is being able to relax enough so that the pain can release or diminish.

The more tension there is, the more the pain gets locked in.

So it’s very important to find whatever ways work for you to relax and relieve this stress and tension.

Do you remember that THE biggest reason for pain relieving drugs, particularly with fibromyalgia, is to get enough relief so that the lifestyle changes and balances needed for healing can take place.   The pain relief then enables you to release stress and tension and to work without going into depression or burnout.

How Do Positive Affirmations Work Best?

There are several key elements to make your positive affirmations work.

Positive AffirmationsThe first element is to make your affirmations a priority.

You get to say what’s important in your life. In other words, the level of importance that you attach to them will determine how they show up. If you minimize or trivialize them, they will have very little power.

So, if you want your positive affirmations to be powerfully vibrant in your life, if you want to see them working quickly, the more of you that you put into them, the better the results–and the quicker they will come alive.

The next element is to give yourself the gift of quiet time and sacred space.

Make the experience special. Carve out the time so you can really immerse yourself. You will be saying your affirmations out loud, so choose your location so you have complete freedom of expression so you can say them with passion!

The next key element to have your positive affirmations work powerfully is to make them a regular ritual. This means create consistency.

Create regular times to say your affirmations out loud. The ideal times are first thing in the morning and last thing at night.

Have your affirmations next to you on your bedside table and say them right after you wake up. Then complete your day with them last thing at night, so that they melt into your subconscious as you fall asleep.

Also, keep your affirmations near you during the day—for example at your desk, on your refrigerator, or in your car. And feel free to say them during the day. It’s wonderful to have your affirmations alive in your life. So say them as often as works for you.

How do positive affirmations work best?

The next element is to allow yourself to be moved by them.

What this means is to feel them, to connect to the emotions that they evoke–to feel excited,joyous, or grateful. What this isn’t is a rote exercise. This is about summoning your passion and zest, and pouring them into your affirmations to bring them alive.

The final key element that is so simple and so obvious, is to believe in them.

If you believe that they are indeed not only possible, but they are also imminent, you will breathe life into them! Such powerful energy and vibrancy will accelerate the whole process.

Believing in your affirmations is last but not least. This is one of the most important elements to making them a reality.

Follow these steps to make your positive affirmations WORK:

  • Make them a priority.
  • Give yourself the gift of quiet time and sacred space.
  • Make them a regular ritual.
  • Allow yourself to be moved by them.
  • Believe in them with all your heart, mind and body!

Make your affirmations important. If you treat them like they’re special, they will be.

And remember to have a BLAST when you’re ‘playing’ with them. Have fun! Be outrageous! And watch them spring to life!

Part 2: Putting Your Mindset Into Motion

Sara does not realize it, but her attitude is a choice – a very powerful one.  Her attitude or Can You Use Mindset in Fibrobromyalgia Treatment? Part 2 “mindset” will dictate and determine the reality she experiences… her life!

It will also determine the effectiveness of whatever fibromyalgia treatment she is pursuing or receiving.

Especially when she is in pain or feeling ill, Sara does not see that she is a powerful creator.  She is.  Do you realize that your attitude or mindset is determining your experience?  It is.

You are a powerful creator.

What you see in your mind, and how you see yourself in relation to it, has an enormous effect on how you experience your body, your emotions, and the events in your life.  What you see inside affects your experience of your fibromyalgia treatment.

What you envision is like the seeds that you sow in the field on a farm, and “As you sow, you shall reap.”  What you plant is what grows there, or what manifests in your body – or your life.
Sometimes, you can see the relationship between your point of view (what you envision) and what you experience.  It is obvious, like when you’re dancing to celebrate at a friend’s wedding, or when you are very much in love.  You are happy, and your body feels healthier than usual in that moment.

But more often, the relationship between your mindset and your experience is subtle, or possibly, it may be out of your conscious awareness.  It can be hidden, covered up, or complex and happen over a long period of time – and that makes it more difficult to see.

It’s important to remember that you can choose your perspective, your attitude, and your “mindset” – so to speak.  You can live in ways that involve you in  pressure, overwhelm and stress, or you can live in a way that avoids and minimizes stress.

If you have not yet come out of a setback, down-slide or recurrence, then imagine that you can overcome it. Imagine that you DO overcome it!

This is a choice. You can choose to imagine success.

Imagine everything you experience is the direct result of what you do.

What Would You Do Differently?

PHYSICALLY
•    What would you change?
•    Would you change your fibromyalgia treatment approach?
•    What would you be inspired to make a change in diet?
•    Would you exercise differently?

MENTALLY & EMOTIONALLY
•    And how would you treat yourself?
•    Would you change the amount of recognition and appreciation you get or give to yourself?
•    What about the amount that you give to others?
•    Would you make more effort to limit the stress you are subjected to?

Maybe you would not allow so much interruption, or so many commitments, that you feel stressed.
Maybe you would not take on so much that you need seven clones of yourself to conceive of doing it all.

Create an opportunity for yourself RIGHT NOW – to have a real vacation, including pleasure and deep relaxation.
The thought of that feels good, doesn’t it?

You can create that too, without even leaving home.  Close your eyes and imagine yourself on the mini-vacation of your life.
You are enjoying your favorite activity with the people you love most.  Who are they?  Feel their presence with you now… Imagine it as fully as you can, with all your senses.  What do you see?…hear? … feel?  What do you notice most?  Your body is getting massaged and feeling wonderful. Take that in.  You are dancing with joy inside and out.  And laughter comes so easily.  You are happy.

You have, to some degree, made this experience real for yourself.
Are you aware that you have begun to change your mindset?

Your attitude or “mindset” will dictate and determine the reality you experience … which is your life!
If you enthusiastically envision it in detail, experiencing it as real with all your senses, and asking your inner force or power to draw it to you – and you do this repeatedly and consistently – it will manifest.

You want to have this experience, and it can be yours – as soon as you change your mindset.

What Difference Do Words of Appreciation Make?

Have you ever thought about doing something for someone, then changed your mind, saying to yourself, “What difference will that make?” In other words, you talked yourself out of it and squished your great idea!

Words of Appreciation 7It can be so tempting to keep playing it safe, to stay in your comfort zone when contributing to another.  When you do this, you avoid seeing and truly experiencing the HUGE difference you make!

Avoidance in life isn’t the most effective strategy.  It’s like living life on hold, keeping it status quo and even keel — in other words mediocre.  However if you’re up to living life FULL OUT, experiencing everything there is to experience, and seizing every opportunity to do so, you’ll discover many hidden treasures and surprising outcomes that you would otherwise be oblivious to.

Elaine was a busy woman. She scurried from organizing the home, to getting her kids off to school in the morning, to saying a quick goodbye to her husband and then rushing off to her business. She barely caught her breath all day long and then on the way home she would run some quick errands before picking up the kids.

Somehow she managed to fit in taking care of the family’s needs and going to the grocery store.  She always went to the same store; it was her favorite.  She would rush in, pick up everything she needed, and then rush out, mostly not noticing her surroundings.

One day something caught her eye.

Outside the grocery store there was a homeless woman with her dog.  The woman’s head was slightly bowed–she clearly was ashamed of her homeless status.  She kept her dog close, protecting him and having him snuggle up to her for warmth and comfort.  She obviously had nothing but the clothes on her back and the possessions in her shopping cart that she also kept close by.

People were going in and out of the grocery store and most of them didn’t even see the woman. She was invisible in the middle of all the activity.

Elaine paused for a moment and thought, “How could I have not noticed her. I wonder how long she’s been here?” She wasn’t sure what to do and suddenly felt uncomfortable.  If she gave the homeless woman money, how would she spend it—on food or waste it on, say, alcohol?  And what if she were dangerous?

Instead of walking straight into the grocery store, Elaine took a circuitous route so she wouldn’t have to encounter the homeless woman.

While Elaine was shopping, she felt really bad.  When she came out of the store she thought, “I’m being ridiculous.  She clearly needs help and I’m going to do something.” So she went back into the store and picked up a sandwich for the woman and treats for the dog.

This time, walking out of the store, Elaine went straight to the woman, and thank goodness she was still there.

She handed the sandwich and the dog treats to her and said, “Here, these are for you.”

With effort, the homeless woman stood up and gratefully accepted the gift.  Elaine was blown away by how profusely the homeless lady expressed her words of appreciation.  She was so touched by this level of gratitude that her eyes filled with tears.  And her profound words of appreciation totally melted her heart.

Elaine asked the woman if there was anything else she could do for her.  She was emphatic that she didn’t need anything else.  However, Elaine pulled out a $20 bill and insisted that the woman take it to spend however she wanted.

As Elaine walked back to her car, she was flooded with many emotions. Feeling the significance of what had just happened, Elaine suddenly saw how she was racing through her life and missing so many things–like how great her life was and how much she had to be grateful for.

She resolved to start living differently!

She also saw how easy it is to make a difference in someone’s life–and how powerful it was for her to have received those amazing words of appreciation.

As soon as she got home, Elaine did exactly that.  She shared with each of her treasured family members her words of appreciation, telling each of them in turn how much they meant to her.

Elaine knew that her life had changed forever from that one amazing encounter!

Are you ready to experience rich fulfillment in your life? If so, all there is to do is to seize every opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life – and then allow yourself to receive whatever thanks or gratitude they offer you.  This is as much a gift as the gift you gave them – so challenge yourself to allow it in and simply accept it.  And notice how it enhances your whole life.

How Can You Manifest Money With Gratitude?

Imagine you’re making a cake.  Let’s clarify what ingredients you need to make the best cake ever!

Manifest Money 8No doubt you’ve heard the phrase, “What you focus on expands.“  What this means is that the more you focus on something you really want, the more it will show up for you.

A really common experience of this is the following: Have you ever thought about buying a new car that’s a brand new model on the market?

So you go online, and you pick the model and the color you want.  Before you started this process, you weren’t seeing the car anywhere.  Then suddenly all you see everywhere you go is the exact model that you picked out–and not only that, but also in the actual color that you chose!

Has this ever happened to you?

This is called the reticular activation process.  This is when you go from seeing an ocean of cars out there, to seeing the exact car you had in mind.  Focusing on what you want “expands” it—in other words, you see and experience more of it.

What if money is no different?  What if you could go from struggling around money issues to seeing lucrative opportunities everywhere? And then being able to manifest money?  You CAN!

So the first and most important ingredient you want is money.

How can you manifest money with gratitude?

Now let’s add into the mix of ingredients expecting the best.

This means expecting really good things to show up and not just randomly–specifically what you want. Expect the best and it will show up.

It’s important to be completely in alignment with yourself, rather than flip-flopping–where one moment you’re clear about what you want, then the next you think, “But maybe I don’t deserve it.”

When you do that you’re actually sending a mixed message out to the universe.  So naturally, that’s what you manifest—a mixed result.

By expecting the best,  and being specific about what you want, and around what you want, you add even more power into this recipe called this cake that you’re making.

Let’s clarify the ingredients to manifest money:

  • Get clear about exactly what you want and focus on it.
  • Expect the best.
  • Completely own and believe that you deserve it.
  • Be grateful for what you already have in your life, as well as for what’s coming.

Now it’s time to put the icing on the cake – namely by adding the final and most important ingredient: gratitude!

Gratitude is one of the most powerful emotions! It can literally shift your being out of scarcity and lack, and inspire you to GREATNESS!

Gratitude elevates not only your energy, but the energy all around you as well.  It literally invites everyone and everything around you raise its energy to match yours.

Notice how people respond to you when you’re expressing deep gratitude—how the energy shifts.  And then also pay attention to what happens when you’re feeling truly grateful for the things in your life.

So to manifest money with gratitude, practice being consciously aware of how grateful you are for everything in your life, especially money, no matter how much or how little that is.

Use all these ingredients to make up your amazing cake—and watch how you become a manifesting machine!

I recorded each "Gift" that I received and was sure to be grateful for each one, every day. By the end of the month my declarations were manifesting although not in an "overwhelming" manner. Still...at the end...I was so very grateful. I decided to commence another "shift" ...   I would create a circle, image my declarations, state them...but on a lesser scale than a full practice. After that decision I started to create a circle where I would light a flame to each direction. .......and that's when it happened......I shifted. I can only describe the feeling as the most amazing I have ever experienced: time, the world, my perspective...stopped; the energy rushing through me was so empowering it was nearly overwhelming. I had never before felt so alive, so en pointe in the moment, so...on...purpose. I had rubbed the magic lantern and the genie has held my hand ever since. I have been getting EVERYTHING I have been asking for, to the EXACT degree I have asked. Remember...you get what you ask for."
