How to Connect Abundant Health to the Native American Medicine Wheel? Part 3

Jennifer really wanted to feel good. Heck, she really wanted to look good, too! She thought about it a lot (maybe even MORE than a lot, like several times throughout the day). That longing to look and feel good was really always with her, somewhere in the back of her mind.

Problem was, she wanted to — but didn’t really know why it wasn’t happening for her. She seemed to be missing something …

Honor Your Body -- The Power of EarthWhat if You Could Really LOVE Your Body?

Over the course of the next few weeks we will continue to outline how you can achieve, maintain or improve your health by using the ancient wisdom of the Native American medicine wheel.

During the first week we talked about making peace with your body. Next we looked at honoring your body, and how to be aligned with the balance of nature and natural law. This week we’re moving into the area of having clear intention for abundant health.

So How Do You Connect That to the Medicine Wheel?

The basic Native American medicine wheel is usually drawn as a circle with four equal quadrants that look like a times or plus symbol in the center. Then specific colors fill each space, depending upon the lesson or significance designed by the tribe or nation. For more information on how the Native American medicine wheel works click here.

To Reclaim Your Sacred Power

To activate your power, we’ve identified Four Essential Aspects to consciously manifest anything in your life, and it especially applies to setting a clear intention for abundant health.

Week 3 Medicine Wheel

Create a Clear Vision (East)

You need to put pencil to paper and begin to write out your clear intention of the abundant health that you are claiming for yourself:

  • what are you doing?
  • where are you?
  • who are you with?
  • how do you feel?

Ask Yourself Why and Have a Definite Purpose (South)

The reason WHY you are doing something is more important than the ‘what’ it is that you are doing. People are very rarely motivated by the what, in and of itself. It’s the reason WHY it’s important to you:

What difference is it going to make in your life?

Have Unwavering and Constant Faith (West)

Your abundant health that you are calling forth may not be apparent to you right now. Trying to establish a way to believe that it is possible, to believe that it is already done; to connect with it in a way that you have confidence in it; this can be challenging when the appearance of things are different.

Gratitude Felt on a Deep, Emotional Level (North)

I once heard that a ruler who was on his death bed said to his physician, “If you could give me 10 more minutes of life, I would give you my kingdom.” It was in that moment that he realized the TRUE golden treasure IS life; truly living it with zeal and finding others to make your life an adventure.

Summary

First, you will want to begin with a clear vision/clear mental image (East). Second, you need to have a definiteness of purpose, what is the reason it matters and what is the purpose of you claiming your abundant health (South). Next, unwavering faith, drawing on honesty and self-expression (West) Finally, gratitude, not only in words but felt on a deep emotional level, which gives back into the pool and the cycle turns all over again (North).

If you’d like to experience for yourself the practical teachings of the Native American medicine wheel, you are invited to join us as we gently guide you through a powerful program to Manifest Abundant Health.

How to Connect Abundant Health to the Native American Medicine Wheel? Part 2

Vivian is sick and tired of feeling like crap. She wonders why she can’t trust her body. She’s afraid to leave the house, because she’s not sure when the next ‘attack’ will happen. She feels embarrassed and betrayed.

But recently she’s realized that she abandoned her body connection years ago. As a young girl, a family ‘friend’ began to sexually abuse her. At the time, and for many years later, she felt there was no one she could go to — or trust.

Honor Your Body -- The Power of Earth, brought to you by Robert and Terri TallTree, Founders of www.HowToLiveOnPurpose.comFor Vivian, the abuse seemed tolerable because that connection to her body was gone. She wants to reconnect. She is ready to begin a new relationship. Which for her will mean not pushing through pain and ignoring what her body is telling her, not allowing herself to engage in eating things that she knows will have negative effects.

What If You Could Really LOVE Your Body?

Over the course of the next few weeks we will continue to outline how you can achieve, maintain or improve your health by using the ancient wisdom of the Native American medicine wheel. If you missed Part 1 click here to start your journey. So how do you connect abundant health to the medicine wheel?

The basic Native American medicine wheel is usually drawn as a circle with four equal quadrants that look like a times or plus symbol in the center. Then specific colors fill each space, depending upon the lesson or significance designed by the tribe or nation. For more information on how the Native American medicine wheel works click here.

Become Consciously Aware That You Have Choice in Your Life (East)

Be mindful of your environment: everything you think, say and do are all part of your ability to change your health.

The Three Arrows of Power

  • The thoughts you think;
  • The words you speak; and
  • The actions you take.

What Actions Can You Take to Produce a Healthy Environment?

The use of non-toxic cleaners, fresh (rather than processed) foods, or drinking filtered water – can make a HUGE difference in your life. It is said that the journey of a thousand miles, one must begin with the first step.

Balance and the Law of Nature (South)

It is important to observe the laws of Nature because of your energetic connection. If plants, air or water should disappear, so will humanity. The Law of Nature is the same as the Law of Physics — nurture the Earth and she will last; pollute her … and she will die.

When you think about it, ALL things are connected. Within every human body are all the same elements that exist within our sacred Earth Mother. You have salt water outside your cells; fresh water within your cells. Within your life you experience the same cycle of seasons. And you have the same minerals in your body as within the Earth.

In planting crops, you can either deplete the soil or work harmoniously with it by rotating the crops or growing plants that strengthen each other.

Life for Life

So focus on eating ‘life for life.’ Make it a point to eat live foods, predominantly green foods every single day. Strive for at least 75% of the nutrition you have to be in that category.

Your Relationship with Water and Emotional Currents (West)

Water is the element of the west and has the power to wear or break stone. It carries you to distant shores. Water teaches the importance of change, and when used regularly can save your life.

Have you ever noticed how some people seem to maintain a youthful appearance, while others seem to age prematurely? Well, that smooth youthful appearance comes from rediscovering a simple habit … drink plenty of water every day because water is necessary for joints, breathing, waste elimination, circulation, and healthy skin.

Your Relationship with Wind and Breath (North)

Air on the medicine wheel is in the north and, although it isn’t often seen with the naked eye, has great power. It can uproot a tree or cool your brow.

It shifts and changes at will and in the right moment — merged with the scent of pine or food — guides you with anticipation to a new experience.

Importance of Air

Through your breathing and movement you bring oxygen into your entire body and energize your bloodstream. When your blood has plenty of oxygen in it, when your tissues have a lot of oxygen, it sustains a healthy internal environment.

How does this connect to the Native American Medicine Wheel?

It begins in the east with your conscious awareness, where the new day dawns. When you awaken your spirit and are consciously aware that you have CHOICE in your life, then things begin to change. So the thoughts that you think can either empower or disempower you.

As you move to the south on the medicine wheel, this is the element of the Earth and it has to do with nutrition and food. You can see how important it is to make conscious choices about how you feed your body.

Moving on to the west, the element of water … this is the place of navigating through the emotional currents of your life as well as hydrating your body properly. Your body is comprised of a high percentage of water and you need to maintain a healthy level of hydration.

Finally, as you move to the north, this is the element of wind or air. It has to do with the thoughts you think, as well as oxygenating your system with proper breathing and exercise and movement.

How to Connect Abundant Health to the Native American Medicine Wheel? Part 1

Audrey is an excellent example of the unique and systematic way the medicine wheel works, and the powerful impact applying the ancient teachings can have on your health and wellness.

She loves horses, but after a serious ankle injury, Audrey was told by her doctor that she would need to wear a brace and she would always have pain. She had become accustomed to it, relying on daily pain medication and never leaving home without the brace.

She’d resigned herself to the idea that as she was getting older, she’d just have to put up with it.

But What If Abundant Health Was Within Your Grasp?

Honor Your Body -- The Power of Earth, brought to your by Robert and Terri TallTree, Founders of www.HowToLiveOnPurpose.comIn less than 30 days she attained remarkable results. One day, Audrey walked downtown without her brace. But that’s not all! Without dieting and with absolutely NO sense of deprivation, she lost 15 lbs and wore her favorite capris, which hadn’t fit in quite awhile. She felt marvelous!

She’s since been able to put the brace away for good, and no longer has a need for pain medication. Audrey sleeps like a baby and says she feels stronger, healthier and more energized than she has in years!

Now, we’re not saying that you will get the same results, but what if you could eliminate just one of your symptoms?

Manifest Abundant Health with Robert and Terri TallTree - Native American Medicine Wheel: Day 7

Over the course of the next month we will outline how you can achieve, maintain or improve your health by using the ancient wisdom of the Native American medicine wheel.

Make Peace With Your Body (West)

The first step that you will want to take in your journey to abundant health is making peace with your body. Making peace with your body means accepting responsibility that your physical being is composed of judgments that have manifested into your interpretation of what a perfect body is. The fact is, the ‘perfect’ body doesn’t exist. It is an illusion created by society — to manipulate society. Now that you know the truth, you can relax and begin to appreciate the unique and original body that you have.

Our Native elders teach that everything is about relationship. So it is important to begin with the internal relationship, and lay the groundwork for calling in Abundant Health. Without this, it is very hard to sustain health because there is too much stress in the body.

Gain the Courage to be Healthy (East)

It takes a lot of courage to DECIDE to be healthy. So many people today are obsessed with their body image: How do they look? How much do they weigh? How do their clothes fit? Do they have a ‘beach body’?

Often people are caught up in JUST the physical appearance of their body, but the commitment to be TRULY healthy — to claim abundant health and wellness — is something that takes a LOT of courage. And it takes stepping OUT of a relationship that keeps you feeling separate from your body.

If you’re dealing with a health condition, whether it’s life-threatening or what’s been called permanently debilitating… whatever it is, that’s not something you did consciously and said, “Gee, I really want to be sick.”

That’s not the way that it works. But that doesn’t mean that you haven’t somehow cooperated or participated in the creation of it.

So the turning point for many is accepting responsibility. For a long time in my life I didn’t like that word because I felt that it implied some sort of blame. But at that point in my life, when the ‘rubber hit the road,’ I had to come to an understanding that it was simply my “ability to respond” … so now I hyphenate it (response-ability).

Your Body Longs To Be Loved (South)

It’s a scientific fact that people long to be loved. From the day you were born, you long to be touched, held … and cared for. You need to start accepting yourself, loving yourself, forgiving yourself.

And when you start accepting yourself and giving yourself the love you really crave and long for from others, everything starts to turn around. Rather than the other way, instead of seeking that from outside, if you start doing it from the inside miraculous things begin to happen.

The first part of connecting abundant health to the Native American medicine wheel is about creating a gentle, loving, nurturing, nourishing relationship with yourself, with your body. And realize that longing you have to be loved is something YOU can provide.

Do You Have a Clear Vision for Abundant Health? (North)

A vision isn’t just a picture or concept of how you’d like things to be, it’s so much more than that!

It literally communicates to not only your inner world, but the outer world, what you are calling forth. It activates a powerful connection between you and the Universe.

It’s an appeal to your Higher Self, your higher Intelligence. It’s an appeal to the Four Sacred Directions and the Native American medicine wheel. And it’s a call that you are committed to become something greater than what you currently are.

How Does This Connect to the Native American Medicine Wheel?

As was stated before, the first step towards achieving abundant health is making peace with your body. This is represented in the West on the Native American medicine wheel. Honesty resides in the sacred direction of the West, and by being honest with yourself and realizing that you are blaming and shaming yourself, you will be able to forgive yourself and ask for your body’s forgiveness.

Courage resides in the sacred direction of the East on the medicine wheel. It takes a lot of courage to decide to be abundantly healthy. By choosing to be abundantly healthy you are using courage to see a brighter, healthier future for yourself.

Love resides in the sacred direction of the South on the medicine wheel. Fulfill your longing to be loved by loving and accepting yourself — just as you are.

Wisdom resides in the sacred direction of the North on the Native American medicine wheel, which you access by consciously creating a bigger vision for your abundant health.

Your Body is the Vessel That Holds The Key to Your Past, Present and Future

so is the Body home to your soul during this earthly journey.”

Lynn Benjamin"Something so beautiful happens each day as I listen to the daily Miracle Mindshift. The best way I can describe the experience is simultaneously getting juiced up a vibrational level, or more, while getting settled right into, grounded into the center of my being.

Today, while listening to day 15, SEVERAL lights in the mansion turned on. A rapid download of aha's begin to make my heart feel different. I'm integrating now, and can say that I will now experience the four directions on a physical level, rather than having the four directions as just concepts. How part of the earth we are. I look forward to a deepening of this physical connection with the four directions.

Thank you for sharing your wisdom, I'm so grateful!"

- Lynn Benjamin

StacyQuinn"I went through the day 11 content, and I was hearing the same critical chatter in my mind. I realized how these rules, this previous programming was resisting my affirmations.

When I did my verbal affirmations, the chatter in my head was actually "talking" over my verbal affirmations. I was inches away from a mirror, looking directly in my own eyes, saying my affirmations and the voice in my head said:
"How could a gift to the world be so ugly?"

I was surprised by my own reaction. I started laughing. I mean belly laughing. I'm still laughing as I write this.

I don't know who that dude was but he's very rude and he's not my friend. I now know what he sounds like and how he talks.

I wanted to send this email to thank you. Because I'm not listening to that jerk anymore."

- Stacy Quinn

Monica_Leccese"I completed my first "Mindshift" after having battled the cacophony of voices and Master Trickster that seem to come along with changing thought patterns. I devoted a portion of each day to the practice, although not the same time each day: to the imaging, writing, and speaking of my declarations and affirmations. I recorded each "Gift" that I received and was sure to be grateful for each one, every day. By the end of the month my declarations were manifesting although not in an "overwhelming" manner. Still...at the end...I was so very grateful. I decided to commence another "shift" ...   I would create a circle, image my declarations, state them...but on a lesser scale than a full practice. After that decision I started to create a circle where I would light a flame to each direction. .......and that's when it happened......I shifted. I can only describe the feeling as the most amazing I have ever experienced: time, the world, my perspective...stopped; the energy rushing through me was so empowering it was nearly overwhelming. I had never before felt so alive, so en pointe in the moment, so...on...purpose. I had rubbed the magic lantern and the genie has held my hand ever since. I have been getting EVERYTHING I have been asking for, to the EXACT degree I have asked. Remember...you get what you ask for."
