What If There Were Unseen Forces Waiting to Assist You?
Welcome to the fourth and final part of this four-part series where we’ve outlined an overview of how you can achieve, maintain or improve your health by using the ancient wisdom of the Native American medicine wheel.
During the first week you read about making peace with your body. Next you took a look at honoring your body, and how to be aligned with the balance of nature and natural law. Last week you read about having a clear intention for abundant health.
So How Do You Connect That To The Medicine Wheel?
The basic Native American medicine wheel is usually drawn as a circle with four equal quadrants that look like a times or plus symbol in the center. Then specific colors fill each space, depending upon the lesson or significance designed by the tribe or nation. For more information on how the Native American medicine wheel works click here.
Connecting with Higher Intelligence (East)
The Higher Intelligence referred to here resides deep within you. It is that voice that says “Stop!” just as a speeding car races by. It is that moment when you know whether someone is speaking their truth. This Higher Intelligence has worked on your behalf all of your life, and will continue to do so until your last breath. To connect with this Higher Intelligence you must embrace an inner knowing that Abundant Health can — and will — be achieved.
Accept Personal RESPONSIBILITY For Where You Are at Now (South)
First you must have the inner awareness that something is out of balance, then you must take the action necessary to promote a better outcome. This may mean changing some old habits and replacing them with some new habits.
The teachings of the medicine wheel show that you must pay attention to what you embrace with your mind, your body, your spirit and your emotion. Each of these realms, or sections, are connected to each other. So it is a natural bond that they have the ability to affect your health.
Realize That YOU Need to Change (West)
Much change begins with taking responsibility, not to beat yourself up or feel guilty, but to observe it as the path that is necessary to your healing. This process also gives you the ability to begin a new path that presents some new challenges.
But with them, and over time, you will gain so many more benefits. Remember all things begin with a thought, then a word, then an action; fueled with emotion — this is how everything is manifested within the physical environment.
Practice, Practice, Practice! (North)
What “practice, practice, practice” means is rehearsing — over and over again in your mind — the image and feeling of what it is to be completely, abundantly healthy.
As Dr. Joe Dispenza, best-selling author of “You Are the Placebo” discovered when he interviewed people who had experienced spontaneous healing, not only did they take responsibility and know that within them was a Higher Intelligence … they were ready to change and then they began practicing that over and over in their mind.
Summary
Beginning in the East, with Spirit … knowing that a Higher Intelligence exists and that it resides within you. To the South, with Body … accepting complete responsibility that you got here through your own design, your own creation; and that you created the experiences in your life. To the West, with Emotions … recognizing that you are READY for that change. To the North, with Mind … the wisdom of practicing that change over and over again.
