Stress And The Grand Canyon: Are We In Denial? | Stress Relief — by Doc Orman
Sadly, for many of us…the answer is no. That’s because we have a remarkable capacity for denying the impact that stress is actually having in our lives. My Visit To The Grand Canyon. Years ago, I had the good fortune to visit the Grand Canyon for the very first time.

Stress And Success: Why Do So Many Successful People Have Stress? | Stress Relief — by Doc Orman
This week I want to focus on several aspects of the relationship between stress and success. Many people believe the two go hand-in-hand. So if you want to be successful you’ll just have to put up with a good bit of stress. success and stress 1. I look at it differently, however.

Can Native American Flute Soothe Your Soul?

You might wonder how a musical instrument as simple as the Native American flute could help you find greater peace and joy in your life. Well, that’s a good question…

Native American Flute player - Robert TallTree, Founder www.AmericanIndianWisdom.comThere has been much talk in the papers and on the television about the frustration and stresses that have been caused by the economy. Every day you hear of lay offs, and the cost of living going up – along with wars that have prevailed for years.

So what can you do to reduce the stress in your life?

You might be amazed at how a few simple changes could have a big impact on lowering your stress, helping you sleep better, minimizing nervous habits like eating when you’re not hungry…

Here are a few things you can do that don’t cost you anything – except awareness – and the payoff you get is well worth the effort!

Become a ‘Media Drop-out’

A native elder once said “No free rent,” as he place his finger to his temple. This is an important factor because the conversations that you have in your mind (the thoughts you think) are fed by the information you decide to embrace.

Have you ever noticed that what you focus on expands? Just think about it…when you get a new car, suddenly you start seeing them everywhere. Why is that? It’s not because they suddenly appeared, but that you are now aware of them. Your attention was drawn to notice them because of your own focus.

Now you can use this to your advantage. Start to focus only on those things that encourage, uplift and support your well-being. Then you will begin to notice reinforcement all around you every day. Simple, yes…and it WORKS!

Hang Out With Positive People

There’s an old saying, “Misery loves company.” So if you want to feel bad, all you need to do is stick with people who focus on the negative. You know what I mean, the ones who are always repeating bad news and see the worst in people and situations. They live in fear, worry and doubt.

If you want to feel good and have more energy, you’ve got to reduce the energetic ‘drag’ that pulls you down and holds you back. You’ve got to get yourself looking for the best, seeing the best and speaking the best about all people and all situations. That helps the stress to come and go, rather than to hang around.

It takes a conscious effort, but you can develop a habit to do this and you’ll surely notice a difference. And, you’ll find that other positive people are ‘showing up’ in your circle more and more. You’ll be attracting them to you, just by being you.

Take Good Care of Yourself

Most people are taught to take care of others and when that’s done you can squeeze out a little time to take care of yourself. So how’s that workin’ for ya?

I’m not trying to give you a hard time here. It’s just that sometimes you need a little ‘reality check’ to set a change in motion. If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you always got.

So, make sure you are taking time to relax, rest and rejuvenate. If you don’t you won’t have much to give anyone else. You can only give what you’ve got.

Garbage In, Garbage Out

A great chef will tell you the most important thing isn’t the recipe, but the quality of the ingredients. You wouldn’t use rotten ingredients and expect a gourmet dish, would you? Of course not!

It’s the same thing in your life…

To have the peaceful, happy and passionate life you want (and you deserve) you’ve got to fill yourself up with those things that inspire you. You’ve got to keep growing and expanding yourself, always moving toward a more complete expression of who you really are.

To Sum it Up:

1. Always be aware and intentional with what you watch, read and listen to.

2. Find positive partners. In other words, seek and discover individuals who teach and live life on a higher level. Surround yourself with people who lift you higher. You will notice your energy increase.

3. Expand your ability to nurture yourself, to rest and relax. For instance, some people love bubble baths, others love long walks – while some love music. I personally love Native American flute music and writing about the lessons passed on to me from my Native American ancestors.

4. If you don’t eat garbage then why would you listen or chose to watch or read it? Make a new choice – one that contributes positively to your mind, body and spirit.

Finding a natural remedy for stress may be easier than you think. Listening to the soothing melody of the Native American flute can melt your worries away.

If you’d like to experience the tranquility of the Native American flute right now, just click here to listen to a sample of our music.

Feeling Bummed Out? You Can Fix That With Simple Stress Reducers.

Feeling Bummed Out? You Can Fix That With Simple Stress Reducers.

“Anything Worth Doing is Worth Doing Poorly” by Jim Rohn.

“Shock city!” Right?
Doesn’t that sound like exactly what NOT to do?

We were taught that anything worth doing should be done well, or as perfectly as possible, right?  Who would want to do it poorly?  Our parents or teachers would have never approved that.
It’s definitely counter-intuitive.  Not what you would expect.

But then again, maybe it’s better than not doing anything.

Like take Sally, for example.  Sally wanted to write an article.  It would make her feel good about herself.  She knew it was worth doing, but then again, maybe she wasn’t ready.

Her internal dialogue – what she said to herself inside of her head – was full of all kinds of limitations, like: “Well, maybe I’m not ready.  Maybe I don’t really know enough.  I don’t have enough education.  I don’t know enough about it yet.  I don’t have enough experience with that.”  And on and on and on. (And on a really bad day, it might be: “I’m too old, too tired or just too fat.”)

So you can see the motivation was just gone by that time, and Sally did nothing at all!

feeling bummed out you can fix that with simple stress reducers 300x200 Feeling Bummed Out? You Can Fix That With Simple Stress Reducers.

She just talked herself out of it, and aced herself out of action that could really make a contribution, both to the world and to herself financially.  Oh, my.

What can we do here?  First, let’s talk about “self talk” or the language that’s going on in your head.  It can be very negative, can’t it?

How can you support yourself to take the action that matters, the action that will change your life?

So, one of the options that Sally had was this:
You have to change that attitude to have more confidence and move forward on the things that matter to you.

  • Where are your opportunities to relieve stress, and have more confidence, and believe in yourself – to be able to take those important actions?
  • What are the ways to reduce self judgment and negativity towards yourself?
  • How can you open up a sense of freedom and confidence and willingness to move forward – and do the things that you want or need to do?

One way is to use visualization or meditation as stress reducers, to release negativity and stress.

There are many approaches to meditation.

Breathing is one of the most simple forms of meditation that anybody can do.  There are actually hundreds of different kinds of breathing meditations available.

For now, we’ll start with the most basic breathing meditation, a classic.  It’s easy:

  • Get comfortable, quiet.  You can have your eyes open, but you may want to close them to focus more inside.
  • Simply focus your attention on your breath – and bring it back whenever you realize there are other thoughts coming in.  Just stay with your attention attached to your breathing.
  • Now, just let your attention follow your breath in and out.
  • Make no effort to change it.  Simply observe.  Notice the rhythm of your breath and the rising and falling of your chest.
  • Feel the feeling of the breath moving in and out of your lungs.  Notice how you feel at the end of the exhale.  Do you feel emptiness or space?  And how you feel when you start to breath in again.  And at the end of your next breath in.  Do you feel pressure or relaxed fullness?
  • If your mind wanders, simply place your attention back on your breath.  Do this as many times as you need to, without any judgement. Do it with ease.

  • As you notice your breathing, remember it does not have to be perfect.  You don’t have to make any effort.  You can do it any way you do it.  Poorly is fine, because no matter how you do it, it IS perfect.
  • Do this for about 5 minutes (start with at least 3 to get the full experience of settling in to your breath).

You will see the way your body breathes.

As you simply release any effort to control it, you allow it to be however it is (while giving it your full attention).
You will see that it will start to change.
You will start to relax.

Just having your full attention on your breath is focusing your mind in a way that releases all  other stresses  in your life. It takes your attention off the other worries of your mind.

When thoughts do come in, and as soon as you’re aware of it, you let them go, you are freeing yourself of stress.

Bringing your attention back to your breath gives a new awareness of yourself, of your rhythm.

Your attention is a gift.

It is a gift to yourself to focus it on your breath, or on anything positive of your choosing.

As a gift, you can give it to yourself for your relaxation, pain relief, and your own personal development.

You can give that to yourself every day, in the morning or evening,
or in any moment of challenge, whenever you need stress reducers.

How else can we support ourselves in this way?
How else can we give ourselves positive uplifting feelings?
What will raise our self-esteem, our confidence and our eagerness to participate in our own lives and give to others?

Another way that’s very simple and beautiful is The 21-Day “I Am a Gift to the World” Challenge.

The Challenge is an opportunity to realize the gift that you offer to the world just by being who you are.

You are naturally a magnificent being.
Just the way that you are now, without making any effort to be perfect or do it right, you are a gift.

If you want to know what your gift is and experience it, go to The 21-Day “I Am a Gift to the World” Challenge now, and open up your new life.

Do you ever beat yourself up in your mind (like most humans do), calling yourself names like “hopeless,” or “worthless?”  NOW you can change that.
If you ever feel that you are hopeless or worthless or anything bad, remember:… That is NOT true!

Honor what IS true about you by doing something you love.
Doing what makes your heart sing is your life purpose.

No one who can do it better than you, because that is your gift.
Without your gift (what YOU offer), something important is missing.  The world will not be the same!

The 21-day “I Am a Gift to the World!” Challenge is F*R*E*E,
and it is a wondrous adventure that people love to take.

In Loving Memory Poems: Is Writing Them Healing for Survivors of the 9/11 attack?

In Loving Memory Poems Dedicated To Family and Friends Lost In the 911 Attack

In Loving Memory Poems for Loved Ones Lost in the 9/11 AttackHow Do I Treasure You, Precious Love Of Mine?

How do I treasure you? How keep you close – without despair?
You will no longer be
Here to comfort me.
As I shake myself awake – up from the heavy dross of pain,
Of the knife that tears at my heart,
Of the grief, of missing you so much I ache…
I cry again, alone in my leaden hollow emptiness –

Until the white butterfly catches my eye.
It flutters by,
Encircling me in its whimsical angel wings,
Streaming with sparkling wonder energy,
Touching the song that fills my heart again,
Opening my face to this brimming smile

that reminds me …
That when I let you be,
When I let you go,
I see your glow.

Then I know…
You are always here –
Playing, dancing, gently loving, laughing…
Just as you always were in Spirit.
You are here
As soul.
I treasure you now – and the delight you bring when I open to you.

Your Presence fills me…
When I stand tall in my Self,
And know that, though you are not here now in body,
I am Not alone.
Your Love is with me.

And I know now, it always, always can be.

That’s my choice
It’s up to me.
I choose now – deep in every fiber of my being –
To hold you close,
And yet to set you free.
That is how I treasure you, Oh Precious Love of mine.

~~~~~
When we can release the pain and the stress that comes with the loss of our most beloved
family and friends in the 9/11 attack, the sadness remains.  However, entwined in every fiber of that sadness
and grief is the great love that birthed it.
As we learn to release the fear – and the pain – more, the Love shines through more, and fills us.
And it is so huge!  When we can open to it, we experience the Love more fully.
As human beings we are learning to live and hold the great blessing of that love.  And as long as we live,
we can open more and more to it.  May we learn to live filled with Love.  Filled to overflowing.
You may want to try writing in loving memory poems as a way to dispel the grief and to find
alternative healing for your pain.  Writing is a great release and opens up more space in the loving heart
of each of one.  Any kind of writing works, even if it is angry, or funny.  It brings freedom.
Another way to release pain, a great alternative healing approach to open and fill with the immense love
we have inside us, is guided meditation and relaxation.  Stress and tension can be released and flow out
of you in a very short time with a great guided experience.
Even grief will dispel with the deep relaxation this type of guided meditation brings.
How Can You Get Enough Sleep With Painful Fibromyalgia Symptoms?
Can you get deep healing sleep when you are in intense or chronic pain?
Sarah slammed the book shut.  She had had enough; she was gritting her teeth she was so mad.
Here we go AGAIN… It was a book on pain and all it told her was do this, do that and do, do, do more.
How Can You Get Enough Sleep With Painful Fibromyalgia SymptomsImage via Wikipedia
All Sarah could think was: ” I don’t want to hear anything else about what to do.
I don’t want to be told what to do!
I don’t want to be guided through what to do.
I don’t want to do anything more at all!
I have fibromyalgia and I’m in a lot of pain.”
She thought to herself, ” They should just tell you to get horizontal.
Get horizontal!”  As in, ” Lie down!”
Sarah was so exhausted she didn’t want to hear anything except how she could rest.
The pain was so intense it was hard for her to even relax enough to sleep.
But that’s what she needed most; that was all she needed.
SLEEP!
She just didn’t know how she was to get that sleep.
As it turned out, she spoke with the author of that book on pain and told her what she thought.  As the book was being edited for a new version, Sarah actually ended up giving her  input for it, and changes were made to address her concerns and frustrations.
It was clear to Sarah, to the author, and to everyone who she talked with that what she deeply needed was a better way to rest –
to get deeper, more restorative rest.
Difficulty getting meaningful rest and quality sleep certainly is a primary challenge for people with fibromyalgia symptoms.
So, how do you rest?
How do you get your best rest, especially if you’re dealing with pain?
This is THE big question – the most important thing to address.  This is the primary reason it’s critical to find some relief from the pain.
The biggest reason for pharmaceutical intervention, the drug therapies, is to be able to relieve the pain enough so that other more natural treatments, lifestyle modifications and balances can take place and be effective.
As a result of that pain relief, you can then have your attention present.
The pain relief is enough to allow you to do the other things necessary to relieve stress, release tension, avoid burnout and overwhelm, and to get things done efficiently.  You must be able to work without falling apart from fatigue, exhaustion and depression.
Sarah needed all of that that, a way to deeply rest.  Every one of us needs that!
Sleep is a primary need.
It is for everyone, but even more so if you are in great pain.  Getting really replenishing sleep, which is needed to repair, rebuild and recharge the body, is one of the great challenges of dealing with intense or chronic pain.  Treatment for pain has to be able to allow for the sleep irregularity that results from that pain.  One of the primary factors involved is being able to relax enough so that the pain can release or diminish.
The more tension there is, the more the pain gets locked in.
So it’s very important to find whatever ways work for you to relax and relieve this stress and tension.
Very powerful ways can be found in many different forms of meditation.  There are opportunities to experience tastes of these in posts in the Fibromyalgia Symptoms and in the Life Purpose categories.
Do you remember that THE biggest reason for pain relieving drugs, particularly with fibromyalgia, is to get enough relief so that the lifestyle changes and balances needed for healing can take place.   The pain relief then enables you to release stress and tension and to work without going into depression or burnout.
But first, on the physical pain component:
Many people experiencing fibromyalgia symptoms feel they have tried every natural remedy available and found it did not do enough.
But, have they?
Or have they given up and don’t believe there is anything natural available that will help significantly?
Have you tried Magnesium Oil?
Yes, oil, NOT pills.
Did you know that research is now showing that most of the population of this country is in serious magnesium deficiency.
According to research, magnesium deficiency is now epidemic.
It does not often show up on tests as a deficiency because magnesium is so critical to cell, organ and brain health that if there is not enough in the blood, it will be pulled out of the tissues and joints.
Some of the indicators of magnesium deficiency are difficulty sleeping – and relaxing, muscle spasms, lack of energy and pain of unknown origin.  Pain!
Many people take magnesium TABLETS or CAPSULES without noticeable relief from pain or improvement in sleep patterns.  It does NOT absorb well through the digestive tract and the necessary amounts can cause diarrhea and stress the liver.
Research and experience now show that transdermal magnesium that you spray on your skin absorbs much more readily and goes directly into cells.  Entering through the skin, instead of the digestive tract means it does not clog the liver or kidneys or cause diarrhea – as do high doses of magnesium pills.
There is a growing number of reports from patients with fibromyalgia symptoms that magnesium oil helps enormously to relieve their pain.  Some find significant relief within a day or two, for some it may be a few weeks.  Many report awareness of noticeable changes almost immediately, and major improvement within a few weeks or a month.
Liquid magnesium is not truly an oil, but it’ s a solution of natural magnesium chloride from ancient seas below the earth’ s surface.
It is natural and there are no reported side effects of any kind (except that it tastes bad to some folks).
If you want to look into this approach for yourself or a loved one,
Click this link: Magnesium Oil Therapy
Did you know that conditions linked to magnesium levels include:
Headaches, Muscle Spasms and Cramps, Fibromyalgia, Anxiety, Depression, Insomnia.
If you are willing and open to new awareness of yourself, You can do phenomenal things to affect your health and happiness.
Do you want to experience that for yourself now?
How Does Knowing Your Life Purpose Give You Strength? Part3
How Does Knowing Your Life Purpose Give You Strength? Part 3
This is the third in a multi-part series on important ways you get strong from knowing your life purpose.
To view Part 1, read the story, and get the first 3 ways Julie pulled herself from the edge of depression into a vital knowing
of her life purpose, click this link: How Does Knowing Your Life Purpose Give You Strength? Part 1
How Does Knowing Your Life Purpose Give You Strength Part3To view Part 2, with more keys to unlock your strength, energy and enthusiasm, click this link: How Does Knowing Your Life Purpose Give You Strength? Part 2
How can you get strong by discovering your life purpose?
Here are more tips for getting clarity on your life purpose through enhancing your relationship with yourself:
How can you motivate yourself to take action?
For example:
How do you go for that walk or create that special place for you to recharge your energy – especially if you are depressed or in pain?
How do you let yourself care, especially if you are afraid, tired and in a lot of pain?
If you don’t have the knowing of what your gift to the world is, how do you develop it?
Caring, feeling that you are important, and knowing you offer a gift – your unique gift to your world –
is essential
.
It’s a critical element in the emotional make-up of all human beings.
There is an awesome process for having the experience of deep appreciation for yourself (and others)
called The 21-day “I Am a Gift to the World!” Challenge.  There will be more on that in a minute.
First, consider this:
If your life and family have not trained you to give and receive enough appreciation,
then you will want to train yourself.
This is of paramount importance to a good life.
How do you let yourself care, especially if you are afraid, tired and in a lot of pain?
How do you know that you are appreciated?
Do you appreciate you?
There are processes for doing this throughout the BeHereWow.com blog, because this is so important.
It is a core foundation of your life purpose.
Does Knowing Your Life Purpose Give You Strength?
And Is Caring Essential Your Life Purpose?
Here are some ways to open and strengthen your relationship with yourself …
and make space for your life purpose to come clear in your awareness:
•    Replace forcing with enticing
•    Ask yourself for help
•    Use rewards – Do a Celebration Dance!
•    Treat yourself like someone you love
•    Be the model for how to relate to you
Just as Julie forced herself to go for that liberating walk that helped to open her up to her life purpose,
do the following experiment for you, even if you have to force yourself to do it.
Of course, the preferred way is not to force yourself, but to ask yourself for help, or entice yourself,
in a gentle encouraging way.
This is a far superior approach to forcing yourself, or using coercion and criticism.
You (like all human beings) hate to be coerced and criticized by yourself just as much as by other people.
Coercion and forcing go against the grain and most often set up reactions of defiance and resistance.
Most people are amazed at how much cooperation can be generated by asking – even from yourself!
Offer yourself rewards or celebrations as positive reinforcement.  These can be gold stars,
a favorite yummy snack or your Starbucks latte.  It can be time for a special call to chat with your best friend.
Make it whatever feels like a celebration dance to you!
(Celebration dances are actually great rewards if you like dancing.)
Always care for yourself as you would care for someone you love.
In your mind, do you – like a lot of people – criticize yourself and call yourself harsh belittling names?
Would you do that to a friend that you love? Generally, the answer is NO!
If you have, they were no doubt offended, and you most likely regretted it.
Or it significantly altered your friendship, right?
So, why would you treat yourself that way?
Who gave you permission to be mean to you, instead of kind and caring?  Did they have that right?  No!
Parents, teachers or others who took care of you as a child may have unintentionally modeled that for you
and taught you by example to do it.
They may not have wanted to do that and could even have just been passing along a bad pattern that
they learned from parents, teachers or care-takers.
Well, it’s time to change that.  You do not have to continue a pattern of negative relationship with yourself,
even if it has been a habit for a long time.
These patterns can be changed.
You deserve to be treated like someone you love.
Don’t you?
If you hesitated answering this question, then please do this: say YES!  You need to say it sincerely, and mean it,
as this is the foundation of your relationship with yourself, and you are setting the tone
and the model for how others will relate to you.
So, treat yourself the way you want others to treat you.  You will be gifting the world with a good model!
Remember The 21-day “I Am a Gift to the World!” Challenge mentioned above as an awesome
Where Do I Find Good Native American Flute Music?
When was the last time you were soothed by Native American flute music?
Roxie loved searching you tube for Native American flute music.  She just loved the way it sounded and it always brought her peace.
Native American flute music playerOne day in her searches she had an idea… “I should really just buy a cool CD or get a download of Native American flute music.”
“I mean, why not?” she thought to herself.  “Even if I am at the office and I am stressed to the max with being overwhelmed with e-mails, texts, phone calls and reports I am always relaxed by that soothing Native American flute music.”
A week went by and she kept thinking about it but just seemed to get too busy to actually go online and buy one.  “This is silly, I can make time for facebook and for texting my friends but I STILL have not bought any Native American flute music!  Why do I keep putting it off?” Roxie thought to herself.
Friday the boss was really pressing Roxie hard and she was about to loose it… “I am about to have a breakdown if I do not cool myself off,” Roxie huffed under her breath.
Then it was like a light bulb went off in Roxie’s brain… “OHHHHHH yeah……my CD!”
Roxie jumped on her computer.  She turned her cell phone on silent, turned her monitor off, and set the ringer in her office to the lowest setting possible.
Roxie was typing like a woman on a mission… She typed in… Native American Flute Music… and there it was.
It seemed to almost jump into her lap it felt so right for her… This is what it said at the top of the page:
What If You Could Reduce Your Anxiety, Worry and Stress and Feel Calm, Relaxed and Confident… Right NOW?
It’s easier than you think, and here’s how…
Roxie’s heart jumped out of her chest…”YES!  That’s it!  This is what I NEED,” Roxie squealed.  Some things are a want but this was a need!!!  Roxie knew she could no longer continue down the road she was on with her life being stressed out all the time.  It was like every time she was not even at work she was thinking about it and stressing about the next day before she even got there!
Do you ever feel like Roxie?
Stressed at work and it doesn’t stop even when you get away from work?
Do you need to relax and get calm?
Take a deep breath… inhale and exhale.
You are not alone!  You can check it out for yourself: stress has been linked to many medical ailments, and has been called the “silent killer.”
Stress can lead to heart disease, high blood pressure, chest pain, and an irregular heartbeat.  (Chilnick, Lawrence. 2008. Heart Disease: An Essential Guide for the Newly Diagnosed. Philadelphia, PA: Perseus Books Group)
Stress is no JOKE!!!
The tool that Roxie found on line to help her get quick relief from stress is:
“Echoes of the Heart: A Sacred Journey” – Native American Flute Music
Echoes of the Heart - Native American Flute Music CDThis CD is a loaded stress-buster. Imagine being transported to a place of tranquility… Well, you CAN!
Do yourself a favor and stop the stress… CLICK HERE to get your CD of this amazing Native American flute music just like Roxie did.
How Does Knowing Your Life Purpose Give You Strength? Part2
Can you get strong from a clear knowing of your life purpose?
This is the second in a multi-part series on important ways you get strong from knowing your life purpose.
To view Part 1, read the story, and get the first 3 ways Julie pulled herself from the edge of depression into a vital knowing of her life purpose, click this link: How Does Knowing Your Life Purpose Give You Strength? Part1
Here are more keys to unlock your strength, energy and enthusiasm, as Julie did that day on her walk in the woods….
How Does Knowing Your Life Purpose Give You StrengthRemember that Julie had gone walking, feeling no energy or excitement, on the day her close friend was hoping she would be giving birth to her new baby.
The baby girl – Vanessa – was born more beautiful and vibrant than Julie could ever have imagined.  She had thought newborns were usually born looking a little swollen and crumpled at first, but that was not the case with Vanessa.
The birth of her beloved honorary grandchild had rocketed Julie out of her almost hopeless despair.  The baby brought a brilliant new life force that opened her heart and fueled her energy.
This was because of the presence of a new life force, but it was also because Julie opened herself up and allowed herself to care, and reach out – and sing!
Emerging from being on the edge of depression, Julie let herself be awakened and energized by the arrival of the new baby – and by her own caring.
How Does Knowing Your Life Purpose Give You Strength?
Julie did three more things that dramatically shifted her experience.  These are universal principles that are key to unlocking that Energy Shifting Door!
3 Ways to Shift Your Energy & Your Experience of Reality:
•    Take a Break from Your Routine.
Get a break from your regular routine.
This brings in fresh energy, and fresh input is important.
You critically need to take occasional breaks from your usual schedule.  This can be something as simple as getting up to stretch, or it can be going for a walk around the block, or even around your office.  Or it might be going to another room to call a friend and share a joke or an accomplishment – whatever shifts the energy.
Breaking from your routine opens you to a bigger perspective, to new horizons and new possibilities, which lets hope and enthusiasm in. These give you new strength.  Then going back to your routine can bring the focus needed to accomplish the task at hand.
•    Go Outside, If At All Possible.
Be in nature or in a place that lifts and inspires you.
Choose to be in an environment that transforms you – and opens new space for you to breathe.  For some this may be a music room or an art studio or a library, for others a patio or a garden or the park.  What is it for you?
If you don’t have a place like this yet, it’s a good time to find or create one for yourself.  This is something you both need and deserve.  It will allow you to discharge tension and to recharge your energy immensely, building strength and shifting your reality.
•    Dare to Care – Appreciate others and feel appreciated.
Care deeply about something or someone.  Appreciate that someone as much as you can.
Although it may seem surprising, that will make you feel full and much more appreciated yourself.
It can be anyone or anything that has meaning for you personally – regardless what anyone else thinks.
For many people it may be a special pet, as pets make it so easy to love and be loved.  They make it easy to feel appreciated.  They know that you care because you are there, even when you are not doing anything.  You do not have to DO anything for a pet to know that you care.  It is your pure being – just being there – that is the essence of your value to them, and instinctively this is true for all human beings as well.
There’s a very special opportunity to break out of your regular routine into an experience of deep inspiration and a new kind of caring.  It’s called The 21-day “I Am a Gift to the World!” Challenge. The Challenge is F*R*E*E – and very freeing.
To relieve stress and overwhelm, even if you are really burned out, and bathe yourself in deep appreciation, check out this Challenge.
It will fill you with a great sense of value and knowing that you have a gift for the world.
How Does Knowing Your Life Purpose Make You Stronger? Part 1
Can you get strength from having a sense of  your purpose in life ?
Where do you get energy to fulfill your destiny, your mission – or your life purpose?
Does Knowing Life Purpose Make You Stronger?Julie had no energy today.  And she was in a funky mood, again.
Why was it so hard?
She felt so ‘NOT-good’, again.
She couldn’t think of anything that mattered.  Julie didn’t feel like she had a lot to live for right now.
Didn’t think she had anything to offer. She just felt … weary, empty – nothing.
She gathered herself, determined to go for a walk.  She didn’t want to, but she forced herself, knowing it was supposed to be good for her, and it might get her energy moving.
She was wondering whether it mattered anyway. Would that affect her life purpose?  Why did it even matter? She was almost depressed.
Lori, her dear friend and neighbor, was about to have a baby.  Usually the thought of the new baby coming made her want to sing.
It was like a miracle.
But not now.  Lori was due any moment, but days and days had gone by and the baby just wasn’t coming.
Julie was excited, but it was dampened.  She felt like she was on hold.
No enthusiasm.
It was almost as if she was afraid to be really excited yet.
Julie was like lead.  Just a little depressed.  Feeling no energy, again.
Another day.  Washed out.
She went walking in the trees, wandering – letting her eyes take in the light through the leaves.  That helped.
After a while, moving began to make her feel less wooden.  It even felt good – invigorating.
Oh, what a relief.
Her body eased.  She could feel it, and it got lighter.
She continued on.  Being in the trees, seeing their beauty and the movement of life in them, relaxed her and allowed her to expand and open.  She spread her arms wide and looked up and asked for help.
She asked to be able to breathe, take it all in, and be alive with energy in the beauty of the woods.
 Then she came to the little footbridge.
As she was starting to cross the bridge, she felt a wave of dynamic power.  It shook her.  It was like a new, vibrant energy.
It felt like a life force and it filled her with joy.
It was wondrous.
She was bursting and she wanted to sing.
Then she remembered she’d heard a Native American chief tell of the singing of a child’s “essence song,” and how it used to help them at every major transition, from birth – coming of age, marriage, having children, grief, crisis – to their death.
 The parents especially, and elders, listen for the song as the baby grows in the womb.
They sing it for him or her at the birth – to welcome the child into their new reality.
 The whole village sings it for someone in crisis.  It makes a huge support system.  It’s almost like feeding back that person’s own essential energy to them – to give them strength (fortify them) to meet the challenge.
Julie remembered that story because she was shaking with energy and life.
She burst into tears as she felt this new presence.  She began to sing.  A song was coming from her without any thought.
She knew – it was the welcoming song for Lori’s baby – whose name was going to be Vanessa.
The song poured out of her, in streams of love and joy and celebration.
Oh, she’s being born now, Julie thought.  Right now!  She glanced at her watch; it was 5:24.
She could not stop singing for quite some time.
The song kept pouring out from her as if it had its own momentum.
It was a joyous lullaby of beautiful words that she was not directing. They just came.
She was standing by the creek with open arms singing.  Singing like she had never sung before.
She felt this huge love.
She had a reason to be strong now.
She wanted so much to be able to play and dance with Vanessa.
She did have something to do – something to give.  And it mattered.
What was it that Julie did?  How did it help her?
How Does Knowing Your Life Purpose Give You Strength?
What do you need to do to get strength and energy?
Emerging from being on the edge of depression, Julie began to make some changes.
(Look at what else she did that changed her body energy and her emotional feelings in the next 2 posts, Part 2 and Part 3 of How Does Knowing Your Life Purpose Give You Strength? Coming shortly.)
Let’s look now at:
Three things to do to shift your reality:
(They changed Julie’s reality dramatically.)
•    Take Action.
Find a way to take action – that is the key.
Do something that is not in your plan for the day, something unusual for you  right now.
For Julie, walking worked because, though she had to push herself to do it, it did not require too much effort.
So despite her lack of energy, she managed to take action.
•    Move Your Body.
Walk or exercise in some way that feels good to you.
Any kind of movement or exercise that works for you will be fine.
If you have pain or fatigue, like with fibromyalgia, for example, gentle movement like Yoga or Tai Chi is the best
– or exercise in water.
•    Know that you matter.
This is of primary importance.  Essential.
Knowing you have something to give and can make a difference is profoundly important.
It is essential to your wellbeing and fulfillment.
So, how do you create the energy that you need to take action – and the strength to get your body moving, especially if you are depressed or in pain?
How do you know that you matter?
And how do you know that you have something important to give?
These questions are a core foundation of your life purpose.  They will be the focus of Part 2 of this series – upcoming shortly:
Miracle Mindshift! Success Stories
Kevin Wilke "During the time I was using the Miracle Mindshift, out of nowhere significantly increased the money into my business while at the same significantly decreased the time I was working in my business.
So now, this is something that came out of nowhere because of this program.
And now... a new branding opportunity has opened and is going to be a great new income opportunity and a bigger business!"
- Kevin Wilke
Hear Kevin's LIVE Success Story:
Lynn Benjamin"Something so beautiful happens each day as I listen to the daily Miracle Mindshift. The best way I can describe the experience is simultaneously getting juiced up a vibrational level, or more, while getting settled right into, grounded into the center of my being.
Today, while listening to day 15, SEVERAL lights in the mansion turned on. A rapid download of aha's begin to make my heart feel different. I'm integrating now, and can say that I will now experience the four directions on a physical level, rather than having the four directions as just concepts. How part of the earth we are. I look forward to a deepening of this physical connection with the four directions.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom, I'm so grateful!"
- Lynn Benjamin
StacyQuinn"I went through the day 11 content, and I was hearing the same critical chatter in my mind. I realized how these rules, this previous programming was resisting my affirmations.
When I did my verbal affirmations, the chatter in my head was actually "talking" over my verbal affirmations. I was inches away from a mirror, looking directly in my own eyes, saying my affirmations and the voice in my head said:
"How could a gift to the world be so ugly?"
I was surprised by my own reaction. I started laughing. I mean belly laughing. I'm still laughing as I write this.
I don't know who that dude was but he's very rude and he's not my friend. I now know what he sounds like and how he talks.
I wanted to send this email to thank you. Because I'm not listening to that jerk anymore."
- Stacy Quinn
Monica_Leccese"I completed my first "Mindshift" after having battled the cacophony of voices and Master Trickster that seem to come along with changing thought patterns. I devoted a portion of each day to the practice, although not the same time each day: to the imaging, writing, and speaking of my declarations and affirmations. I recorded each "Gift" that I received and was sure to be grateful for each one, every day. By the end of the month my declarations were manifesting although not in an "overwhelming" manner. Still...at the end...I was so very grateful. I decided to commence another "shift" ...   I would create a circle, image my declarations, state them...but on a lesser scale than a full practice. After that decision I started to create a circle where I would light a flame to each direction. .......and that's when it happened......I shifted. I can only describe the feeling as the most amazing I have ever experienced: time, the world, my perspective...stopped; the energy rushing through me was so empowering it was nearly overwhelming. I had never before felt so alive, so en pointe in the moment, so...on...purpose. I had rubbed the magic lantern and the genie has held my hand ever since. I have been getting EVERYTHING I have been asking for, to the EXACT degree I have asked. Remember...you get what you ask for."
